The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion

THE MISSION

Henry Luce III Center for the Arts & Religion works to promote, understand, and expand the interface between the artistic and the
religious imagination.

Where Faith and Imagination Meet

The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary is a nationally recognized hub for exploring the intersection of theology, art, and spiritual formation. Rooted in the belief that the arts are essential to vibrant faith and transformative ministry, the Luce Center fosters creative expression as a vital part of theological education and Christian life.

Through exhibitions, artist residencies, courses, and community programming, the Luce Center cultivates sacred imagination—equipping students, clergy, and artists to engage the world through beauty, justice, and wonder. Home to studios, galleries, and the only full-time visual arts program housed in a U.S. seminary, the Luce Center is a space for reflection, experimentation, and spiritual depth.

Art opens hearts. Faith inspires vision. At the Luce Center, they come alive together.
