Prospective Ministry Settings
Wesley welcomes and greatly appreciates the support of congregations and nonprofits in guiding our future ministry leaders.
Our partner sites participate in the student intern’s preparations for answering God’s call for ministry service. Our God expects much from us in living and proclaiming the Gospel in diverse contexts and methods. So too, Wesley DC asks a lot from the Learning Partners who guide student interns along their journey of ministerial, spiritual, and leadership formation.
The process for ministry settings to become partners with Wesley DC students in preparation for the ministry field ahead may be found under the accordion (+) tabs below.
1: First Steps for Teaching Settings: Learn about PM&M internships
Sites considered to be teaching ministry settings consist of churches or congregations and nonprofits such as hospitals, schools, retirement communities, hospice care providers, and campus ministries.
All teaching ministry settings should provide two people to work with placed student intern(s): congregations provide a clergy and a lay learning partner and nonprofits provide a mentoring and a site learning partner. The site contact person may be a learning partner.
More details on learning partner credentials, the components that make contextual education valuable, and the commitment by sites and student interns are shared in these documents:
To begin the process to add your site to the PMM Ministry Setting Listed Sites, please proceed to tab #2 “Submit site interest form for potential addition to the PMM Ministry Setting Listed Sites”.
