Partnered Ministry Settings

For ministry settings who have a formed partnership with a potential intern, this page provides information and the form for confirming the partnership based on ministry setting type: congregation or nonprofit.

Note: Congregations that offer nonprofit options may complete either application.

Use this tab when your ministry setting is new, has learning partner change(s), OR has NOT hosted an intern for the prior internship year.

To complete the student’s placement proposal with your congregational ministry setting:

  1. Select the clergy and lay learning partner who will participate in the learning partnership—intern, clergy partner, and lay partner. The contact person may or may not be a member of the learning team.
    • The clergy learning partner must meet religious affiliation or congregational standards for a pastoral leadership position, be in the current position for more than one year, and have completed a form of theological study at least one year prior to the start of a potential internship.
    • The lay learning partner must be someone dedicated to supporting this endeavor with their time and in sharing personal and setting insights and is not a professional theologian or minister.
  2. To provide the confirmation for the student’s placement proposal with your ministry setting, please download and complete the form PM&M Site Application-Agreement Form ~ Congregation and return it to the PM&M office (PMMAssistant@wesleyseminary.edu).
