By Car

From Virginia: Traveling through Northern Virginia cities

1. Follow US-29 to cross the Key Bridge north into Washington, DC.
2. Turn left onto M St NW, which becomes Canal Road NW.
3. Bear to the right onto Foxhall Rd NW.
4. Continue on Foxhall for about 4 miles.
5. Turn right at the light onto Nebraska Ave NW.
6. Follow Nebraska NW through one light, keeping in the right-hand lane.
7. At the second light at Ward Circle/Massachusetts Ave NW, travel counter-clockwise around 3/4ths of the circle.
8. At Massachusetts, turn right out of the circle past the Katzen Art Center.
9. Go through the light at the entrance to American University.
10. Take the next left onto the Wesley campus.

From Virginia: Traveling 95 North from points south

1. Travel I-95 North to the Capitol Beltway (I-495 North).
2. Exit to the right toward Tysons Corner (not Baltimore).
3. Stay on the Beltway through Virginia across the Potomac River.
4. As you enter Maryland, take exit 39, MD-190E/River Rd.
5. Turn right onto River Rd and travel into Washington, DC.
6. Follow River Rd for several miles (across Western Ave)
7. Turn right onto 46th St NW.
8. Turn left on Massachusetts Ave NW up the hill.
9. Turn right onto the Wesley campus.

(If you pass American University and find yourself in a traffic circle, you’ve gone too far.)

From Maryland: Traveling I-495 South from points north

1. From I-270S merge into I-495S toward Northern Virginia/Washington.
2. Take exit 39, MD-190E/River Rd toward Washington
3. Turn right onto River Rd and travel into Washington, DC.
4. Follow River Rd for several miles (across Western Ave)
5. Turn right onto 46th St NW.
6. Turn left on Massachusetts Ave NW up the hill.
7. Turn right onto the Wesley campus. (If you pass American University and find yourself in a traffic circle, you’ve gone too far.)
